About Me

My name is Robin. I’m a 28 year old living outside of Houston, TX. I attended Texas A&M University where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Marketing in 2008 and 2010, respectively. I worked as a graduate consultant for several large companies during my graduate program. I also interned as a Internet marketing assistant at a Houston advertising agency during the summer of 2010, as part of my coursework.

I’m currently working as a marketing coordinator at a local locksmith shop where I spread the message on all things security. My major interests in the marketing realm include everything about online and social media. I have a passion for all things digital. The online marketing world – including SEO, social media, email marketing, etc., is extremely dynamic and fast-paced. I’ve seen it evolve over the past years and I’m excited to see how it grows and where it leads us in the future.

Aside from marketing, my main hobbies include spending time with family- I have a brother, a sister, 3 nieces and 2 nephews with another niece on the way and arriving very soon.

I’m also a bit of a TV freak. I could spend hours in front of the TV watching my favorite series. My faves include Doctor Who, Supernatural, NCIS, Bones, House, Hawaii Five-0, So You Think You Can Dance, American Pickers, Storage Wars and many more. I love my shows (and their casts) so much that I even traveled and attended several conventions related to one of them (Supernatural) in Chicago,IL, Dallas, TX, and Las Vegas, NV from 2011 though now. I had such an amazing time meeting the actors from the show and chatting with fellow fans and I’m planning to attend more in the future. I’d also love to attend the San Diego ComiCon in the near future. I love getting my geek out.

Photography is another major interest I have. Since I was a kid, I’ve been interested in taking photos to remember various events – like vacation, the end of school years, holidays – but it’s only in the recent years that I’ve become more interested. I love taking my camera – a Canon Rebel T5i – to conventions and places I travel to capture moments to remember the experience better – as well as to learn different techniques and improve my abilities.

Concerts are another source of enjoyment in photography, using my Canon PowerShot SX50 to get shots. Since I was a child, I’d always wanted to photograph my favorite bands and never quite had the chance (because of  my seat location and camera’s ability) until now and I’m taking full advantage of it. I’m really enjoying learning the whole process and hope to make it more than just a casual hobby in the future.
